Have the Curve now and yes, I have become addicted to it.
I have a few friends that have the Storm, and they're not happy with it.
Shoot a PM over to AlterEgo if you have any questions, he works for RIM. |

I've seen the storm. I would not get it. The iphone on the other hand, I would get if I had at&t.
I have a curve and love it for the most part. Sometimes it does things I don't understand why. _________________

The storm is an epic failure. Out of the 5 I know that have owned one, every one of them hated it.
I will be getting the Curve soon. |

I dig my storm, around my office it seems like the are a bit like sardines. Either people love it or they hate it. The people who may not be as saavy technologically don't seem to like it as much.
I use it for email, web browsing, and maps primarily. Most of my emails are short replies so typing is not an issue with me. The tethering function has been a saviour. I originally bought the storm because of the tethering function, my blackberry worked fine before, but I wanted remote wireless access. Here in San Jose, it seems that I have faster browsing speed that when I used it on my trip to CT, but it may just be me.
Overall I give it a thumbs up. _________________

| I was really pissed that I was with Cingular and couldn't get the Storm. Then, I played around with a Storm the other day and absolutely hated it. It was way too slow and the typing was annoying. |

| my trackball wouldn't work so i took it apart. works better than ever now! its a weird design theres a roller for up, down, left, and right, the ball spins those and they get crap in them. just pop out the silver ring around the ball and get some canned air to clean it! works like brand new! |

I have the Bold and love it. Have been a blackberry user for a few years now and wouldn't use anything else.
I do find them quite sensitive to water, more than other handsets, but generally they seem rock solid.
I spend way too much time on mine... I have Facebook, MSN messenger, email, BB IM, texts etc on the go all the time - I would reckon a good 5 mins of each hour I'm awake is spent hacking away at the keys _________________ www.AxisBoats.co.uk | www.Malibu-Boats.co.uk |

So is there a big difference between blackberry and say iPhone? I have iPhone and I love it. Really got everything I need. I don't think you can buy blackberry over here, so that is why I ask.. _________________ WB.com will never be the same... You will never be forgotten Leggester.

MojoPin, blackberry seems to be more of a business phone where the Iphone is everyday use. the blackberry is good for the everyday user also just wish it had wifi on it, instead of the network internet.
Brit Rider, is the bold out for alltel, or what service do you have? i know alltel and verizon just merged so im kind of waiting to see what happens with phone deals when everything is finalized sense alltel is going away. |

Last halloween a few friends and I were out partying. We walked into a bar that was dead. Before I could turn around to walk out one of my buddies bought us all drinks.
I didn't want to slam it and I was pretty drunk (stupid) at the time so I thought if I put my drink in my coat pocket just until I get past the bouncer and out of the bar I could enjoy it while we walked to the next place.
Naturally the drink completely spilled and as it turns out my Blackberry was in the same pocket.
Rather than quickly turning it off and removing the battery so that it could dry out and not get fried. I began mashing the buttons to try and get it to work (which it didn't at that point).
The next day I put it in a ziplock bag of rice, I had heard this would suck out the moisture and the phone would work. I left it in their for three days. After the 3 days I turned it on and it works perfect to this day. |

The iPhone is the best business phone I have used to date. Blows away everything else I have used.
And yes, we run an Exchange server here. And we use SSL.
I get my updates faster than on my previous phones, the email/contacts/calendar interface is easier to use, and the rest of the phone is no contest.
That said, RIMM is making decent product these days. If they work the rest of bugs out of the Storm, they will have a big winner. Still no iPhone, but an ok replacement for those not with AT&T. _________________

so much hate.
The storm is doing very very well. so im not sure where all the bad publicity is coming from. We have found that the Storm customer is not your typical BB user, hence the reason why we have a lineup of a few different devices.
The whole iphone vs. storm thing is a little overrated - ultimately both have their benefits. But if you look at what iphone is trying to do is move away from the true consumer and more into a business device....thats just not easy. BlackBerry has a platform for email and data and applications that is really unmatched. _________________ www.highrollerwakeboarding.com |

I have a crackberry curve..Its a love/hate relationship. People email me at all hours and expect me to respond so I hate it...I love it because I dont stress out that there is something important in my inbox that I didnt miss...I feel like I dont have to be in the office from 6:00am until 10:00pm every night now so I love it... _________________ You know you own someone when you can agitate them enough to quote you in their signature. |

Alter Ego, I'd argue the opposite about the iPhone. They appear to be trying to be all things to all people - and succeeding.
This next mini iPhone or whatever they are calling it will likely bridge the gap. Either that, or if they truly offer a $99 iPhone. It's game over in large part for the consumer segment.
And I actually said something positive about RIMM! _________________

I have the curve, it is an awesome phone. It is very user friendly and really can do a lot of beneficial stuff when it comes to keeping yourself organized.
*and everyone that I know that has/had a curve hated/hates it. It was rushed out to compete with the iphone but the glitches were far from removed |

I got the Storm about a month ago. I'm actually a pretty big fan of it. There are times here and there that it's slow, or the screen gets stuck and won't flip, but it fixes itself after a few seconds.
I had one of the old Blackberry's on TMobile, and then had the Pearl. I was a big fan of the Pearl, and was switching from Sprint to Verizon and figured I'd try the storm. Worst case after 30 days it gets returned for a Pearl. With both of these phones I had numerous scroll/trackball/freezing issues, and I think you are going to have that with any phone more or less, it's all a matter of what you can deal with.
I only use the Pearl keyboard on the Storm, can't type on the Qwerty so well after using the Pearl. Texting/emailing might be a bit slower, but not anything that is significant. Their was a little learning curve, not so bad once you get through that. The phone works well. There were some settings you had to change to customize it the way you like your phone to come up, etc. but overall, I am very happy with it. |

I just got a new blackberry and opted just for the new curve. I freaken hate typing on a touch screen so the Iphone is OUT. I found the bold to be bigger and heavier which I wasn't too thrilled about. The new curve does everything I need, I can't imagine needing anything more.
Gotta say i'm a big fan of the crackberry!! If only I could pass brick breaker. Made it to level 34 and died.... so close usually that freaken level 17 kills me everytime _________________ Don't do anything rash.....and don't do anything to get a rash... |

I got the curve about a year ago.. have had no problems with it. I would say it has the best reception of any phone i have owned. My girl has the iphone and I have the Ipos touch. I can't get used to the keyboard _________________
