Seems like most people are just buying a wakesurf board from their favorite board company.
How many of you are looking at the high end shapes? Are you paying the 500+ price for these shapes? Are you willing to wait on them if they are custom? _________________ Wakeskating

The high end custom boards are worth it. Totally different than "wakeboard style" surfboards. Shred Stixx, Vernor, Props, Phase 5, The Walker Project, SMED, some of the other custom boards. |

I am fairly new to wakesurfing and have pretty much learned all I can from my HL Boradcast. I have demo'd a Ronix Koal and am leaning towards a Shred Stixx Jamako......I am willing to wait and pay $500 plus for a quality hand made product that is not made in China. |

The JaMako is a good board, but yes, it's a China made board. Try out a Vernor, or The Walker Project board, SMED boards are all hand made in Austin, TX. |

Shred Stixx are hand made by Jerry Price and company in california, not China, therefore making the Ja Mako from California. |

Yeah DS3 I am not sure where you got that information from. Deepcove, I know where you can get a used jamako for a couple hundred dollars off if interested, the guy is very legitimate and I just bought a thresher shredder from him. |

I apologize DS3, I think they may actually be importing now. I went to double check their home page and other sites where I had read about the 'shredd stixx heritage' and I believe that they may have been changed recently because they do not mention anything about being hand made anymore. |

It's all good. The SS brand is a good one, and their shapes are great riding boards. I know Jerry is a Disco Bay local up in Nor Cal. I have a Thresher, but mine is one from China. |
