That picture brings up an interesting question, as I get ready to buy some sort of inboard. How far onto shore can you "beach" and inboard, versus an I/O? _________________ If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular? |

depends on how quick the bank drops off. i got a buddy who's so paranoid about his prop and rudder that he drops anchor at least ten feet off shore |

That bank in particular actually drops off quite a lot, but is very very sandy. in this photo the boat is just floating, not beached. |
