Disregard the poll

I'm getting a boat next week and I am down to 2 options. Both are 1999 wakesetters, one is the v-drive and the other is direct drive with ballast and wedge. Which will throw a better wake?

(the V drive will cost me an exta 3000 and has 450 hours vs 280) Which would you reccomend getting?
Thanks

The two hulls are the same. So if weighted the same, both should have a similar wake. The main difference is that it is easier to hit ballast in the v-drive. I actually have a 99 Sunsetter VLX (same as the Wakesetter, just didn't come with a tower and such), and I have 1300 lbs, fully auto fill/empty, all hidden.

I personally would go with the v-drive. The wrap around seating blows away having a motor in the middle of the boat. And just an FYI, the 99 Sunsetter/Wakesetter VLX is the same hull that was used all the way through the 2004 Wakesetter VLX.
