I've been having problems with trhe slider i just built. its a "T" stand style so it rests on the bottom of the river, on flat stands. recently i tried using buckets of sand and sand bags but after the second slide it shook loose and flopped over some one suggeted useing gym wieghts and chain them on but i figured it was worht seeing what others did. the slider does have to be able to be moved after use, (its on a river)

so what have you used to hold your slider down?

we used cinder blocks w/ a carabeaner (don't know if that's how you spell it)...it's the clip for climbing and u can get them at home depot. Anyways we just put one on each end and clipped them to the blocks and the slider. When we put it out we just drop the blocks then pull them up when we're done. You need to measure depth for rope length and space the blocks far enough apart so it won't move.

We used brake drums off of an 18 wheeler. They worked great.

I hear about people taking old tires from a junk yard then filling them up with cement then just using rope to the bottom. Very Happy
