Hi guys and gals i am new to the forum and have have a ? about towing a wakeboarder behind an outboard boat with a tower, do any of you have any tips or tricks on driving as far as trim position or anything really to make my wake as good as possible with my setup ?

Do you have an i/o. I have never heard of a tower o a true outboard cept for our boat which I hope to get some pictures up within the week. Outboards will make a decent wake for a water dancer to do tricks on the wake(slides). Its possible to do tricks wake2wake on a board. I have managed with our boat.

I have an outboard and have recently been playing with the trim to adjust the wake. What I've realized is that when the boat is lighter, for example if there were less passengers, triming the wake up slightly can help get the wake back to where it usually is. I don't think it makes too much of a difference besides that. The real way to improve you wake from what I notice is to add weight to the boat.
I have a barefoot Ski Centurion and have gotten a decent wake. I'm looking to get a ballast for it, but so far wake to wake jump aren't too hard. If you're having a hard time getting enough pop, read up on progressive edging. I started getting a foot more of air the first day I tried it. Good luck! |

Yes it is an outboard it is a 2005 trophy 2002 walkaround with a 150 hp merc optimax. i had a custom made fishing wakeboard arch or tower, it has rocket launchers,gps ant.,and vhf ant. and flood lights that light up the hole boat. atlantic towers made it for me. yes it is not the ideal wakeboard boat but it serves as much more, we take it to destin to go fishing in the gulf, and it has room to sleep three, with a pump out toilet. it has trim tabs and right now i always put them down to keep the bow down, does anybody else have or use trim tabs on there boat while boarding? |
