|
|
I found a place locally that sells Era wakeskates for fairly cheap. This season i wanted to pick up a skate just to try it out and see if i liked it. Are these decent skates to start with? I know you get what you pay for but i was wondering if tthis brand makes quality skates.
thanks for any input!

They are a horrible company.
do a search for era wakeskates on wakeskating.com and you'll see why no one will buy their skates. They are based in portland, thats probably why you saw them in a shop out there. They tried to sell some of their skates on ebay, but 99% of their auctions were not even bid on.
or hell if you want, ask the same question on wakeskating.com and you'll see 20 posts in a half-hour about why you should avoid that company
I highly recommend avoiding those skates. _________________ www.norcalwake.com | www.integrity-wake.com | www.chriscut.com |

the actual skate it self probably isnt too bad, but its the people behind it that have upset the WS.com community |

Era=Douchebag talk chit out of my a-hole jerkoff owners who need to be put out of business.
Do yourself and the wake(skate) community a favor and do not buy product from these infiltrators. Let them go down in flames like the flamers they are. |

I can see that nobody really likes them.
Thanks for the advice guys. I know now a company to avoid and ill tell my friends too!(they are looking for wakeskates too)
So what is a good beginner skate?
I found a couple like the lf faction and the hyperlite scape.
Any other suggestions? |

the faction isnt bad, anthem is ok too, some people have had problems with LF breakage, but mine was run over by the boat and is still good, NEW has some pretty high quality decks for reasonable prices. i dont know about the scape, hyperlite "entry boards" are usually one the large side. but some of there higher quality stuff is good. every one you ask is gonna tell you something different, some people will hate a board every one else loves, i know its cleche to say demo boards, but if you can do it, me personaly, i cant find anywhere to demo. but with skates personal prefrence is soo much more of an issue than with wakeboards IMO |
