Just to be technical, it's not a "BBQ" and you don't "BBQ" w/ a grill. Barbecue is smoked meat. You smoke meat w/ a smoker. What you have is a grill. You grill meat on a grill. You do not barbecue on a grill.

Brisket is pretty much THE main thing I miss about not living in Texas anymore.
There is literally NOWHERE here on the west coast that I have had BBQ that doesn't eff up the Brisket somehow. Just not the same. period.
My pops can make a mean Brisket....I miss those saturday/sunday bbq dinners he used to do when I was growing up. Still does them, but i'm not there.  |

| We have a place here called "Judge Beans". Guy was a Texas Judge and retired and moved to Nashville. He opened up his own BBQ joint. Real deal brisket and the works........ohhhh so good. |

looks delicious! although What we call BBQ and what you guys call BBQ is two totally different things 
to aussies you dont 'cook' BBQ you 'have' a BBQ and that pretty much just means getting people over and cooking random stuff on the BBQ. Pretty technical!  we have had some pretty epic BBQ's though (it helps when your old man is a chef )

you can find some pretty nice ones at reasonable prices. I bought my dad one for xmas a few years back from the Home Depot. My dad has since mastered smoking meat. pulled pork, brisket, ribs, drunken chicken, turkey legs, you name it he cooks it and damn good too! |

K-dub, Thats true mate! Kangas are delicious. Emu is also pretty damn good, But you dont get that as much down south here in Tasmania. Mind you its usually just Beef but hey I'll play it up for you guys

haugy, You trader! You know BBQ is Pork. Smoked beef brisket is what those ill-informed Texans think BBQ is.
jt09, I have smoked meet on a grill before. Few coals and some hickory on one side, meet and vent on the otherside. Doesn't cook as slow or as good as an offset, but still works.
And propane is neither. |

Well in Michigan in order to "barbecue" all you do is throw meat on the grill cook it and apply barbecue sauce. Walla, barbecue!
