I would like to try out the Kampus skate, just to see how it would ride. I ride a cassette right now and I love it. It's a great board and it didn't break the bank. I have a flat one now that I ride and sometimes I'll ride my friends 3-D. Either way I think you would be happy with one. I prefer the wood skates to the foam, so I would suggest something that is in the $100 range and go from there.

The Mutiny decks are sick. There's the Steadfast series, which is available right now. The new Endurance series (Concave decks) should be available soon.

jvalk,
Pretty sick. I like it because it has rails on the bottom opposed to a flat skate deck. It is not quite as loose as a tradition skate which I like. Read the links on the review thread and you can see pics and more info.

the catalyst is awesome. If your willing to spend 250$ for it, go for it. If not go with the cassette 3D.

guys how is foam to girp tape? Isnt it harder to ride and do like pop-shovits and kickflips and stuff. I want this new board from hyperlite just came out. It is so sweet. 3 stage rocker, fiberglass, bat tail, alluminum 1.3 fins (holes in middle of board and holes on both side of board). I just wanted to know if I get one is foam that much worse. Neutral

Joseph S., foam is not worse. some people may prefer foam and some prefer grip tape. all tricks possible on a grip tape board are possible on a foam board but you dont see anyone on trying parks' bonerpop(i think thats what its called) on a grip tape board. and what board are you talking about the parks.

No im not talking about the parks board, Im talking about a wakeskate, It is so sweet. They shipped out just a couple days ago or somthing. I got to see it at one of my competitions. I think the hyperlite rep brought it. Im not sure though. This guy I know is good at wakeskating, Im going to ask him if I should get this new wakeskate or one of the cassettes.
