uhhh...just defrag it, do some disc clean-up....and restart your comp after that. itll be fine, just make sure u have enough empty space on your hd so that defrag can run....i think it needs 15%. _________________ sing goddess, of the anger of achilles, son of peleus |

Yep you are probably screwed. I bet it scrambled your sectors up enough to where your computer doesn't know how to grab all the files. Thats why it takes so long to render a video before you burn it on a CD or DVD, it has to make all the clips and files into one full working unit. That may work, try to render the entire video by resaving it w/ a decent compression and see if it organizes things again.
Too late for this instance, but ALWAYS keep important data backed up, thats the beauty of having a CDRw drive! |

Theres nothing wrong with building a computer. I have no problem up till this and this just has to be from defraging 3 to 5 gig video files. I still have to do some trouble shooting. _________________ www.NORTHSHOREBOARDSHOP.com

ok...well, if u did defrag and it screwed everything up..that sucks, sorry bout that i prolly just read the first post wrong. i know when ur dealing with movies which take up enormous chunks of space, its a good idea to run defrag as often as possible. sounds like u may need a new hd. _________________ sing goddess, of the anger of achilles, son of peleus |

Do you have multiple drives (ie drive C: and drive D on your computer? You could try copying the files over to another drive. Make sure and defragment the other drive first. When the files are copied over, they will be written as contious files (not fragmented). Defragment the original drive and then copy them back. |
