Its not too tough. If you can to a raley its a piece of cake. I would suggest doing raleys first though cause they are easier. Ok so just take a solid HS cut so you go a little bit into the flats, edge through the wake and push your hips behind you. Your hips are what is going to get you off axis so let them drift out behind you. As you do this open your chest a little bit toward the flats, a little bit goes a long way when doing this, if you open up do much to soon you'll end up on your back. Grab Melon/Mute/Nose/Japan. Push the handle down towards the water and swing your feet under you. Land it with your feet over your toes so you don't slip out. Good Luck! _________________ www.nationsfoundation.org

Well, thx for your reply.
I heard about putting a lot of weight onto your front foot, take a normal cut into the wake and - once in the air - pull up your front leg a bit towards your front shoulder. But, doesn't work like this, at least not for me
@ NorthwestRider: what you're telling me is completely different from what I have heard so long. Ok, that's why I'm asking here, but...I think that a raley is something completely different from an off axis 180...

If you have a trampoline try it there. I was playing around with OA3s and OA5s on the trampoline for a couple years and then one day decided to try one on the water and landed the 3 a few tries later. The 5 is actually a more natural rotation for me but the handle is harder to get.
The main thing is keeping the handle down and letting your hips fade back. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

ok, yes, I'll have to think about it because outside it's too cold at the moment to go wakeboarding.
Thanks a lot for your instructions,

pardon me but i don't think there's any way on earth you can frontside a blind 180...
unless you mean blind as in faceplant blind kind of blind, you know what i'm saying?
(unless i got my definitions severely wrong, i think you got it wrong) |
