i just moved to corpus christi the surf down here is for lack of a better word... sh#@!!! but i'm like 3 hours from my boat and only get to go back to wakeboard here and there. in the process of building a winch to solve this... anywhoo whats a good surfboard to get for some small waves that i can take behind my boat as well? obviously a fish style is what i'm lookin at cuz i don't wanna tote a longboard and i know for a fact that those short wide boards tear up small surf. so anybody who wants to throw out some good brands or experiences they have with this kinda stuff would be greatly appreciated. _________________ i drive a convertible. i have a boat. i wakeboard. word 2 yo mutha. dueces. |

I have a phase 5 oogle on the way. never rode it, but i was told it is pretty good.
you might want to hit dragon88 or k-dub for some suggestions. _________________ www.integrity-wake.com |

I've tested out the 5'6 broadcast, 4'6 LF surf and a 4'9 broadcast. 4'9 broadcast for sure. You can ride it granny style with three fins or loose without the middle fin. No matter what this is the board. Ropeless carving is easy with this piece of gold. |

I have a 5'8" Byrne tc epoxy - it is very simmilar to a wakesurfer but is a more boyant. It is a fish type shape and surfs small waves pretty well and would work well behind a boat. You can check them out at www.tuflite.com. They are pretty pricey though. |

The big difference between a ocean and wakesurf board is the rocker. The ocean board usually has a taller longer rocker which makes it slower on a wake. If I were in your shoes I would buy or borrow a wakesurf board and try it at the beach the longer the better. _________________ Surf's Up!!!

hey i totally forgot i made this thread but thanks for all the advice. funny story though. i recently moved back to austin and scored a free inland surfer blue lake 5'6" for my dad since he just beat cancer. we took it out a few days ago and i picked up wakesurfing really fast. he did too. needless to say we'll be riding the hell out of this thing from now on its sick. i highly recommend inland surfer as a great brand for everyone. _________________ i drive a convertible. i have a boat. i wakeboard. word 2 yo mutha. dueces. |

recently tried out ascboards they are killer. check em out! everything is hand built and custom shaped. they are small but super bouyant because the different foam used. i know the shaper and trust me he makes a nice board right here in austin. ascboards.com _________________ i drive a convertible. i have a boat. i wakeboard. word 2 yo mutha. dueces. |
