I think they almost all look hideous. The LF rep had some in the local shop here this week and everybody there was raving about the quality and comfort of them. Shane and Watson are supposed to be ultra stiff this year. However, they look horrible.

tpj, the sphynx has been replaced by the vantage. And swapped places in performance level with the transits.

I'm VERY skeptical about the vantage velcro, and the Shane/Watson base plate. They look like plastic. The Transits look amazing along with the cabs.

LFPIMP, like HHI Dave said, they are just updated plates. they've designed them this year to have absolutly zero heel or toe lift. And they are supposed to be very durable too.

LF IMO has consistently had the best boots on the market. 07 Ronix may have been more comfy, but with all the problems they had (Sh*tty laces and plates, etc) I should have kept my shanes in retrospect. With their new lasted sole, they should blow everything else away. I did get to try on some of the new byerly boots, which looked great, but there is too much hard plastic in the heel and it's actually beyond uncomfortable, it's painful for my bony feet.

The Vantages are the most comfortable binding in the line...no joke. If I waterboarded I'd be rockin those for sure!

The velcro is the most durable stuff that 3M makes, and they also come in a limited edition (as do the rest of the pro-level LF bindings and boards). There's a new pro plate system that's supposed to eliminate toe/heel lift altogether. And then there's the new soft goods (walk shorts, board shorts...) that look very promising. I'll have a write up of the new LF line on the front page of this here website after Expo is over.

wow, so LF just copied converse shoes for the cabs and the addidas samba for the domian...very creative.....

jhilly8982, If the copied the samba, I def wouldn't be buying them. They give me no cushion or support.
