anyone got any plans they've used for a good portable slider (anything flatbar, incline, rainbow, a-frame, etc etc) that they set in sand? the place we usually winch at is all sand and the sliders we've built with 2x4 legs or even 4x4 legs are pretty hard to pound into the ground far enough to be sturdy and then somewhat heavy and hard to get out once they are there. |

scroll down, this one isn't mine but i made one just like this and it can be broken down to travel, it can be pounded in and pulled out in a sandy/muddy bottom, it cost me around $100 to make i used 8 ft long posts though. probably the simplest and quickest to make. i made in in less than an hour. its a 2x6 with a piece of fake decking wood on top with four steel pipes with threads, they attatch with flanges. all material can be pickedup at home depot or lowes. put together its petty heavy but when broken down its easy to carry. |
