So, okay.

Just attempted wakeskating this past weekend, and wanna stick with it.

I rode on the b/f's board, but am unsure whether it's the right size for me. Sorry, don't know the measurements.

I ride a 128 wakeboard, not sure if that has anything to do with skates.

Any on sizing or brands for a starter skate? I'm 5'5" and weigh 125lbs.

Thanks!

I'll probably post this under the wakeskating section as well, but I wanted a girl's opinion first.

Just like wakeboard sizes, its mostly just a personal preference. Demo some if you can and see which one you like best. I don't skate much, but when I do I use my friend's Byerly which is a 107, it seems to be a pretty good size, I'm taller (5'8"), but it works well for me.

It really is about personal preference. I used my hubby's scape all last year and this year bought the LF Maven. I really like the board...it is a 41. Very fast responsive and squirrly board but I love it!!!

There are a lot of different boards out there...as andrewt said try out different sizes and figure out what you like.

I love my maven actually. I went to the maven from a Hyperlite Scape so there is no comparisons I can make to other boards.

Just bought the hubby a New Wakeskate Custom...so will be trying that out to see the variety. It will prob be a bit big for me.

Why did you not like it??? Curious...

it just felt like i couldnt control it at all. the wait felt unevenly distributed too i dont know it just wasnt comfortable riding it at all. bulky is how i would describe it. even with fins it felt like it could slip right out from under me. but i love my oak. and the doyle is nice for sliders and riding too.

Which oak do you have?

Sounds like the Maven was too big maybe??? Question

It is definitely a squirrly board BUT I really have not known any better and just now I am getting more comfortable with that board after a few months with it...
