so i just got my wakeskate aaaaaaaaannnnnnnnd

it feels like there is no coating around the exposed wood. is this bad? if so should i go get some expoxy and put it on the ends? not to mention that mom came up and rubed the extra grip tape around the edges like you do on a skateboard. and some spots look as if they had sandpaper scraped across them. also the fins that came with the board done align right, kinda like a post in newbie where the fins dont sit on the board right. and the screw sticks up a lil. is it ok to go finless on a wakeskate? guess i have to. on one end the screw homes dont line up!! grrrr. guys think ill be fine?

wakeskating finless is fine, thats how i ride. if you want the ifns just sand them until they fit, thats what i did with my wakeboard

you shouldnt have to do anything to the ends of it...they soak that wood in stuff to keep it from gettign water logged, i wouldnt worry about it
