|
|
For the swivel seat I took the existing seat slides and mounted them to a rectangular piece of 3/16" steel then I bought a swivel seat mechanism from West Marine and mounted it to the fiberglass seat pedestal and to the bottom side of the steel. I have to move the seat forward then swivel it around and then slide it back to clear the right side armrest and the seat is a little unstable when fully forward due to the swivel providing less surface area on the actual fiberglass base. No one that drives my boat needs the seat in the full forward position though so no problem there.
It is well worth the time and money. All my freinds get to use the real seats to get changed, ect... and I was always sitting sidewayz over the drivers seat. the swivel is really nice |

Hey, very cool mod! I might hafta do that one too, it would be handy to have a swivel drivers seat.
Good job, thanks for the pics! _________________ Silver Skurfer |

RUSSIAN, yep that's it. I had to mount the swivel to the rear of the seat pedestal so the seat would clear the armrest when swiveling. So when the seat is straight forward the plastic block you see in the pictures rests on the front part of the fiberglass pedestal, the seat was just a little wobbly without it. |
