yeah i remember seeing those last year.
i wonder how the wake rivals the SN2001s
its "basically" the same boat. size, configuration, etc. just 20 years newer.

I wouldn't pay 20K for that, its only 19 feet with 84" beam, direct drive, no gauges on dash. Its no better than a fiberglass fishing boat u could probably get for around 12K. The ballasts are probably bags that you have to fill by hose thrown overboard, lol. For 30K I would look for something used that is a proven winner with all the options, there are plenty of deals out there if you look.
If anyone is in love with that boat then sorry if I offended you.

It essentially is the same hull, so you know what to expect there; a proven awesome wake.
There's rumour of a V-drive in the making, diesel nonetheless!

Que??? Can you elaborate on that? I haven't seen 12k fiberglass fishing boat with a Mercruiser V8 and the wake of a Nautique 2001.

If I'm correct PureVert is an option, otherwise I think it's preplumbed pumps for sacks.
I think it's great that someone's selling a brand new customizable inboard with Merc Scorpion for <30K. Can't wait to see the V-drive, especially after that 2001 conversion a little while ago.

It has all the gages intergrated into one, like the Maliview, just smaller.
I like the minimalistic purpose built quality of the boat.

Seems like a lot of money, but so do most wake boats. You can get a nice 2001 for around 10k, half that if you don't mind doing some work to get it really nice. If they could swing this boat for under 20k I would seriously consider one. I've put my I/O for sale and if/when it sell I'll probably be getting a 2001 unless I find a killer deal on another boat. I'd love a newer V-drive but it's not in the budget.
Usually I'm beggin folks to come drive/spot so I can ride so my crew is usually 3-4 total so no big deal with the smaller interior, and any time my boat gets wet it's to either kneeboard or wakeboard. Only time there's not someone behind the boat is when I'm hunting for good water, or if the tide is too low to use the ramp.
I'm also very minimalistic in general, I drive old cars. Daily driver is an '86 F-250 and summer cruiser is a '68 Galaxie. They are both simple, dependable and have classic lines. The simpler a boat is the less there is to go wrong, and I prefer carbureted because I know it will never leave me stranded due to a sensor, and if it breaks I can fix anything on the water with a basic toolset unless it's a catastrophic mechanical failure.
Anyhow, I do like what Standard is doing, but couldn't justify 30k for what is essentially a 2001 Nautique when I can shop around and get more or less the same thing for 1/3 the price. For those who have a little money and just want a gas and go boat for a reasonable price it's a great idea though. I wonder how many they've sold?

I'm sure budget boats will be the next wave of popular boats.
No one is buying the 50k+ boats on home equity like they used to.
Prices for a new boat skyrocketed around 2002 and are at a point that simply isn't possible for many consumers to purchase them. Don't you think its funny to see a 1985 Nautique 2001 for $7000? That thing is 24 years old!

Every single 2001 on the planet is in some form of decay.Even if you find a nice one its still a ticking time bomb. The 2001 foam support system is a sponge starting the water retention process the first time its dropped in the water.Standard uses composite construction and modern parts for a reliable trouble free ride.Just drop it in and go,no worries about twenty year old engines and wood.

| I would be very interested in one of those boats if it was in the $20-25k range. At $30k I'd rather just buy a used wakesetter vlx.

Taitrt, there priced around 25 but the problem I have is its not a v drive. If you have ever owned a dd 2001 you can understand what I am talking about. No room whatsoever when you sack them out.

Threadsurrection. Is there any new information on these boats? Or perhaps more experienced opinions? This company intrigues me deeply, especially because I will be a senior next year. I'm definitely going to have to have a boat, so this as a cheaper option, and one that I really like, looks quite promising.

What does "essentially" mean? You can essentially change a couple things and make the hull suck. Yes, the 2001 is an awesome wake, but it is very narrow. For 30k, I'm sorry but I'm buying a used 03 or 04 210 that I KNOW has a proven hull and awesome awesome wake. Personally, I don't see any reason to buy one of these boats although the wake does look good for wakeskating.

| i would definately look for a 5-10 year old used wakeboat over this boat. it does not look like a bad boat but for 30k i would rather spend 5k more and get a moomba 06-07 for 30k. Ebay and boattrader have them in that range and other wake boats much cheaper. when i have the money for a boat i will make sure it is open bow and hopefully vdrive. just my 2 cents

| mgs917, why an 06 moomba when you can get an 04 SAN or x-1 (an x-2 in 03/4 or star 02/1) for the same price? I've seen multiple 04 210s with less than 300 hours for 30-32k

| wakeryyder- good point. moomba was just one that came to mind that has a lower msrp than some other brands, but your right you can find some of the boats you have listed for the same price range as this boat. i would definately look at those boats before this boat. the main reasons would be vdrive, space and open bow.
